A poem about hope and love

An image of a woman in a dress standing in a dessert looking out among the atmosphere.

I look for you in the days gone by
And the nights not yet passed
I look for you as the wind blows
And all the seasons come and go
With no regard to those who
Wish to stop time just to relive
Their glamorous moments of opportunities
Not taken advantage of.

I look for you
Wandering the streets of nowhere
And everywhere hoping to draw
Your heart’s eye to mine.

I look for you
Knowing that hope is all I have
But nothing more than a disappointment
Of things that haven’t seen the light of fruition

I look for you
Hopeful that somewhere out there
You’re looking for me too
And when that day comes
That is when I’ll have found you.
