Very well written and thoughtful piece! I was unaware of the case of the 16-year-old White boy in Texas, however I’m simultaneously in belief and disbelief at the outcome of the Kyle Rittenhouse case. I agree, Jussie is indeed a victim of his own crime. For me I’m stuck between a rock and a hard place when it comes to his case because of all the facts that you laid out in this piece. Unfortunately you’re also right about there being no winners in this. But my biggest hope is that Jussie gets the help he needs and has the courage to take accountability for what happened. I am glad to see his family’s unwavering support and loyalty because he’s going to continue to need every ounce of it in the coming weeks and months.
